Privacy Policy — Digital Compass

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Digital Compass is made by Solidary Solutions AB, Sweden. This page describes what the app does with data. The short version: the compass itself collects nothing.

What the app collects

Nothing, by us. The app has no account, no sign-up, and no analytics run by us. Your heading, sensor readings, and settings stay on your phone.

Location (optional). If you turn on "True north", the app asks for your location. It is used on your device to calculate the difference between magnetic and true north, and is never sent to us or stored anywhere. If you deny the permission, the app keeps working with magnetic north.

Advertising. The free version shows one banner ad served by Google AdMob. AdMob may process device information (such as advertising ID and IP address) to serve and measure ads, as in any ad-supported app. In the EU/EEA and UK you will be asked for consent first, and you can choose non-personalized ads. See Google's privacy policy. If you purchase "Remove ads", no ads are shown.

Purchases. The "Remove ads" purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive no payment details.

Data sharing and retention

We run no servers for this app, so there is nothing for us to retain, sell, or share. The only third party involved is Google (AdMob for ads, Google Play for purchases), under their own policies.

Children

The app is not directed at children and shows no content of its own beyond a compass.
