Privacy Policy — Barometer

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Barometer is made by Solidary Solutions AB, Sweden. This page describes what the app does with data. The short version: we run no servers and collect nothing about you.

What the app collects

Nothing, by us. The app has no account, no sign-up, and no analytics run by us.

Location. If you allow it, the app uses your approximate location to fetch the air-pressure forecast for your area. You can instead pick a city or enter coordinates manually.

Weather data. The forecast is fetched from Open-Meteo.com. The request contains coordinates for a forecast point and no personal identifiers from us. If your phone has a barometer, its readings are shown on-device and never uploaded. Notifications about pressure changes are scheduled locally on your phone.

Advertising. The free version shows one banner ad served by Google AdMob. AdMob may process device information (such as advertising ID and IP address) to serve and measure ads, as in any ad-supported app. In the EU/EEA and UK you will be asked for consent first, and you can choose non-personalized ads. See Google's privacy policy. If you purchase "Remove ads", no ads are shown.

Purchases. The "Remove ads" purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive no payment details.

Data sharing and retention

We run no servers for this app, so there is nothing for us to retain, sell, or share. The only third party involved is Google (AdMob for ads, Google Play for purchases), under their own policies.

Children

The app is not directed at children.
